Taxes and Dues in Japan
This site provides you a brief guide about Japanese taxes and dues imposed on individuals. They are rather complicated and very difficult for most people to understand. If you were a Japanese, you can easily ask for necessary explanations at the relevant bureaus. But a foreigner can not do so unless he/she is exceptionally good at Japanese. You must feel uneasy to be forced to pay taxes and dues, which you can not understand well.
I hope this site helps you to know better about the Japanese taxes and dues and to live in this country more relaxedly.

2023.7.7 | I would like to convey that no privacy problems shall be resolved by handing back the My-number cards. And I would like to also tell that the Japanese current system is not sustainable considering the enormous government budget deficit amid the aging, shrinking society. People who become too nervous about the confusion occurred around the My-number system shall become conscious that they can never stay their good old ages in which they easily live with hope that tomorrow should be better than today without particular effort or pain. What I want is to overcome the initial difficulties and to make the government system far more efficient and sustainable. It is necessary to secure the reliable government which can really assist our society and vulnerable citizenz in the true sense. |
